You
may think this a strange entry into our music section,
but Jackie starred in a movie called The Myth (2005).
This is the theme song from the movie, and it is very
beautiful.
The film depicts Jackie as a General in The Tang Empire
playing a straight acting role. He is sent to protect
the Emperor's favourite concubine, and along the way
they share adventures and misfortunes, both of them
saving the other's life on several occasions. Of course,
they fall in love, but this can never be. The film is
wrapped in a present day parallax involving the same
two people
Perhaps this song is best explained in that it is the
Chinese version of Titanic and Shania Twain. Jackie
has since had a successful singing career (in his spare
time!) |

Given that line of Mandarin, you should be able to sing
about half of this catchy song immediately!
This actually refers to the Chinese practice of sending
a beloved girl 999 red roses, which is a proposal of
marriage - and Chinese people actually still do this
to this very day!
Pang Long tried to retire a few years ago, but was constantly
requested to make guest appearances. As a result, he
has given up retirement and is now busy working on new
